Across Siberia with the Christmas Chicken

A Tale of Two (South African) Cities

East African Reflections

I Walk the Line (Settle-Carlisle railway)

The pieces on this website are reflections on some of my travels over the years, home and abroad. They're not diaries as such so you won't get long lists of what I ate or graphic descriptions of the resulting bad toilet experiences. Rather they're about where I went, who I met and how I felt.

The longest is about a trip on the Trans-Siberian Railway in the depth of winter. I Walk the Line is about the shorter (and warmer) Settle Carlisle Railway. The others are snippets of incidences and thoughts about two very different trips to Africa.

I hope you enjoy them - if you have any comments or queries, please drop me a line.
